We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our team at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Spartanburg Downtown. The Night Auditor plays an important role in the successful operation of the hotel during the overnight hours, serving as a welcoming presence for late-arriving guests while also ensuring that nightly accounting, administrative, and safety responsibilities are completed accurately.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys a quieter work environment, is comfortable working independently, and takes pride in doing things the right way. You’ll have the opportunity to interact with guests, solve problems, maintain hotel standards, and make sure everything is in order for the morning team.

Previous hotel, hospitality, customer service, or night audit experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who brings a positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.

What You’ll Do
As a Night Auditor, you’ll be responsible for a variety of guest service, accounting, administrative, and overnight operational duties, including:

Welcome guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
Handle late-night check-ins, check-outs, reservations, and guest requests.
Provide information about the hotel and assist guests with questions about their stay.
Respond to guest concerns and work to resolve issues promptly and professionally.
Answer telephone calls and assist with reservations and general inquiries.
Complete nightly audit procedures and verify guest accounts, room charges, payments, taxes, and other transactions.
Balance daily revenue and financial transactions.
Complete end-of-day procedures and prepare accurate reports for management.
Maintain accurate records and documentation.
Monitor the hotel, lobby, and guest areas throughout the overnight shift.
Follow established safety and security procedures and respond appropriately to emergencies or disturbances.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk and lobby.
Assist with preparing the breakfast area and making coffee during the early morning hours.
Communicate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest needs are addressed.
Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality.
Follow all Pinnacle Partnership, hotel, safety, security, and regulatory standards.
Assist with other hotel duties and special projects as needed.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
Previous night audit experience is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn hotel management and reservation systems.
Comfortable using phones, computers, office equipment, and Microsoft Office.
Professional appearance and positive attitude.
Ability to work independently during overnight hours.
Ability to follow company grooming, safety, security, and guest service standards.
Flexibility to work scheduled holidays when needed.

Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to:

Stand and walk throughout the hotel for extended periods.
Sit and stand while performing front desk and audit responsibilities.
Use computers, telephones, office equipment, and hotel systems.
Bend, squat, reach, push, and pull as needed.
Lift and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds.
Read documents and computer screens and accurately enter information.
Communicate effectively with guests and team members in person and by telephone.
Remain professional, positive, and composed throughout the shift.
