Line Cook – Heirloom Restaurant (Full-Service Hotel Dining)
Heirloom Restaurant, located within our full-service hotel, is seeking a motivated and dependable Line Cook to join our culinary team. Position Summary
The Line Cook I is responsible for supporting daily kitchen operations through basic food preparation, dishwashing, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This role works closely with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, and kitchen team to ensure efficient service and adherence to food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in food preparation, including washing, peeling, and chopping ingredients
- Prepare simple dishes under the direction of senior kitchen staff
- Support the setup and breakdown of kitchen stations and service line
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans
- Ensure proper sanitation and adherence to food safety standards at all times
- Store food properly and assist with inventory organization under supervision
- Support the team during busy meal periods to ensure smooth service
- Complete additional prep, cleaning, or support tasks as directed by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred, but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate
- Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and kitchen procedures accurately
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
- ServSafe certification (or equivalent) required or ability to obtain
