Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Nursing Director, the Staff Coordinator/HR Assistant is responsible for allocating nursing Staff (24 7 schedule) based on a master schedule.
The Staffing Coordinator works closely with Nursing Management to ensure appropriate staff coverage for the Nursing Units. Reviews staff schedules, identifies variances to staffing plan and contacts nursing staff for coverage.
Responsibilities
In collaboration with the RN Supervisors, maintain a master staffing plan for each unit.
Works collaboratively with Nursing Management to insure appropriate daily staffing coverage for each unit.
Maintains staffing pattern of attendance and processes personal time off.
Allocates nursing resources, including supplemental staff and reassignment of staff as per the instructions of RN Supervisors and/or Charge RNs for optimum utilization of nursing personnel.
Completes re certification for C.N.A Follow-up and maintains log of LPN and RN license.
Qualifications
Formal Education High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience 1 year A MUST
