What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Business Development position at Pinnacle Clinical Research?
Summary: Director, Business Development must be an experienced and motivated individual to drive growth in our clinical research services and the placement of clinical research studies within our network of sites. This role focuses on identifying new opportunities, nurturing strategic partnerships, and leading key initiatives to expand our client base. Director, Business Development will bring a proven track record of business development within the therapeutic area of Alzheimer’s Disease in clinical research or healthcare industry, coupled with strong leadership and strategic thinking skills. Experience in clinical research and/or pharmaceutical research and development is required. Concentration in AD / Neuroscience required.
Duties and Responsibilities: Successful candidates will be self-starters, with responsibilities including but not limited to the following:
Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.• Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MPH) or certifications in clinical research or business development are preferred.• 5–7 years of experience in business development, sales, or client management, with a strong background in clinical research, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare.• Education may substitute for experience.• Proven track record of successfully closing complex deals and achieving revenue targets.• Experience working with large clients and managing high-value contracts is essential.
Competencies: • Excellent written and oral communication skills• Organizational skills• Ability to pay attention to detail • People skills including possessing a positive, friendly, and professional demeanor• Ability to be flexible with changing priorities• Ability to communicate in a diplomatic and professional manner• Strong interpersonal skills• Strong mathematical knowledge• Excellent computer skills• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet browsers, and web-based enterprise solutions software.
