Junior Associate - Corporate, M&A

Really interesting opportunity for a Junior Associate to join a boutique law firm launching a new, New York office off the back of a highly successful West Coast M&A platform.

This position is fully remote to start before transitioning to 3 days hybrid in office.

This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground level of a new office, working on sophisticated middle-market transactions while helping shape the firm’s East Coast presence, all while being mentored by one of the firm's co-founders.

They advise on PE buyouts, strategic acquisitions, growth investments, and sell-side mandates across entertainment, tech, consumer, healthcare, and aerospace—and regularly co-counsel with Tier 1 big law firms.

The Opportunity

This is a New York founding associate role with high visibility, high responsibility, and a direct line into the firm’s growth strategy.

• Join lean deal teams (Partner Associate Paralegal) from day one
• Draft and negotiate SPAs, APAs, LLC agreements, stockholder agreements, NDAs, and ancillary docs
• Coordinate closings and drive deal execution end-to-end
• Work directly with partners and gain real mentorship through live deals with direct client interactions
• Play a role in building out the New York office footprint

What they're looking for:

• 2–4 years’ M&A experience (BigLaw, strong mid-size, or top boutique)
• Ability to independently draft and negotiate transactional documents
• Strong commercial instincts attention to detail
• Client-ready communicator with a proactive mindset
• Low ego, high ownership—someone who thrives in a build environment

Comp & Structure

• $200K–$230K base (flexible upward)
• Discretionary bonus
• 1,800 billable hours
• Fully remote initially → New York office longer-term
• $2,500 business development budget
