Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and organized Front Desk Receptionist / Clinical Office Assistant / Patient Coordinator / Medical Assistant / Medical Scribe to join our new medical practice for breast cancer surgery. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, responsible for managing administrative tasks, supporting office operations, rooming patients, medical record preparation and management, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in office management software, excellent communication abilities to ensure smooth daily operations, and adaptability to different roles to meet the needs of the new practice. You will be trained on the medical aspect of the position. There is room for growth and job advancement within this new practice.
Duties
- Greet visitors and clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Direct calls and take messages accurately
- Handle clinical appointment scheduling and calendar management
- Perform data entry and maintain organized records
- Support office management tasks such as ordering supplies and maintaining inventory
- Provide customer support via phone, email, or in person, ensuring high-quality service
- Support administrative functions including typing correspondence, managing emails, and supporting personal assistant tasks as needed
- Room patients, take vital signs as needed (will be trained)
- Prepare patient charts, manage medical records, scribe medical information (will be trained) as needed
- Obtain authorizations from insurance companies (will be trained) and schedule surgeries with different hospitals
Qualifications
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word and data entry skills
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse clientele effectively, but not required
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Flexibility in role as practice grows; need to be adaptable
- Part-time and full-time will both be considered. Temporary positions (minimum 6 months) for pre-health students will be considered.
