GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The 2nd Shift Warehouse Lead oversees the operational maintenance and organization of the warehouse, freezer, and dry storage areas at Pineland Farms Natural Meats. The 2nd Shift Warehouse Lead is also responsible for staging raw materials for the Production team, communicating effectively with managers and other departments, keeping track of inventory levels, and supporting shipping/receiving duties. This is a full-time position designed to overlap with 1st shift to provide additional coverage, and while the general schedule is 3:30p.m. – 12:00 a.m. Monday-Friday, flexibility in schedule is required to meet the demands of the company and handle emergency situations.
Duties include and are not limited to:
- Maintain organized and efficient warehouse, freezer, and dry goods storage
- Rotate raw materials and finished goods, transfer aging products to freezer
- Operate forklift and electric pallet jack
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and perform checks against ERP numbers
- Prepare raw materials needed for production
- Interface with Production team to ensure finished goods are as required by work orders
- Support Shipping/Receiving with picking and staging sales orders and receiving purchase orders
- Act as liaison between Shipping/Receiving and Production
- Completing additional tasks as needed not listed in this task description
EXPERIENCE
Strong organizational and communication skills are required. Candidate must have demonstrated experience in warehouse and shipping/receiving processes, preferably in meat or perishables industry. Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks is required. Must have experience with inventory management software and a basic understanding of computer systems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- The ability to lift/carry 60 pounds regularly
- Standing for long periods of time

- Complete repetitive motions with hands/fingers
EDUCATION
High school diploma or GED is preferred.
