Connections Minister (Reservoir Campus) SUMMARY The Connections Minister works in partnership with the Director of Discipleship Communities and the Reservoir Campus Leadership Team to strategically build systems and processes that engage, pursue, and follow up with guests and members of Pinelake Reservoir Campus. This role is critical in developing a clear discipleship pathway that helps people move from attending a worship service to active participation in a Discipleship Community. The Connections Minister will oversee all aspects of the guest experience, ensuring that every person encounters a welcoming and hospitable environment with a clear understanding of how to take next steps. This includes leading the charge to recruit, train, and build discipling relationships with servant leaders. These relationships will not only champion a welcoming environment, but will also shepherd Servant Leaders toward their own spiritual growth. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Work in coordination with the overall goals and objectives of Pinelake Church. Lead, shepherd, and collaborate with the Adult Groups Team under the direction of the Lead Pastor of Adult Groups to work toward excellence in all areas of the ministry. As a part of the overall Reservoir staff team, participates in campus-wide ministry events and the shepherding of our Reservoir faith family. Basic personal responsibilities: Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, prayer, meditation and practicing L3. Maintain proper priorities in your home including your spouse and children (if married and/or with children). Faithfully support the ministries of Pinelake by maintaining wise stewardship measures over the resources entrusted to you. Maintain active participation in community. Reflect a growing awareness and practice of personal Emotional Healthy Spirituality. Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner to glorify Christ and further the mission and ministry purposes of Pinelake Church (Colossians 3:23-24). SPECIFIC LIST OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Create an effective, vibrant servant leader structure for Connections Ministry which would include the following: Identify, develop, and equip servant leader teams to support Next Steps for Pinelake attendees and members. Recruit, onboard, and train servant leaders in all areas of Next Steps including following Jesus, baptism, serving, membership, small group placement, and equipping groups. Provide oversight of Equipping Groups for the campus, including building servant leader teams to support these groups. Regularly equip servant leaders and Reservoir staff to ensure a unified vision of Next Steps for the Pinelake Reservoir Campus. Work with the baptism coordinator to plan upcoming baptisms and recruit servant leaders to serve as baptism hosts. Oversee Next Steps initiatives for the Reservoir Campus including Serve Expo, Identify, Open House, and any other future initiatives. Effectively build, develop and implement processes for identifying, welcoming, connecting and assimilating guests and regular attenders into the life of the church. Utilize Pinelake’s Church Management System, Rock, to maintain accurate information and track Next Steps for First Time Guests and regular attenders. Create, oversee, and continuously improve follow-up methods and systematic, effective strategies to ensure visitors take next steps toward community and discipleship. Support other ministry areas as necessary in the successful completion of regular worship events and special events. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises non-exempt personnel (Administrative Assistant). Supervises and coordinates work with servant-leaders.
