Summary
The Wiregrass Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational execution, financial performance, and guest experience of Wiregrass. This position serves as the primary operational leader of the restaurant and is accountable for maintaining Pinehurst Resort standards while driving revenue, controlling expenses, developing employees, and delivering exceptional hospitality.

Two years of college or technical school and a minimum of four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Directly supervises all hourly front-of-house employees assigned to Wiregrass and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, development, and performance of the restaurant operation.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, evaluating performance, recognizing achievement, administering corrective action, resolving guest concerns, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
The Wiregrass Manager is expected to lead by example, maintain a strong floor presence, develop future leaders, drive financial performance, and ensure operational excellence while upholding Pinehurst Resort’s culture, values, and service standards.
Language Skills

Have the ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Leadership & Operations
- This position involves driving a company vehicle and/or company insured vehicle. A valid driver’s license is required, along with successful completion of a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and annual MVRs, according to company guidelines. Follow safe, defensive driving practices at all times, obey all traffic laws, regulations, signals and markings, use a seat belt, and follow Company policies and procedures, including the Substance Abuse Policy. Never drive while under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medications that may impair your ability to operate a vehicle safely, report any accidents immediately and cooperate fully with insurance claims investigations.
- Lead all daily operations of Wiregrass while ensuring adherence to Pinehurst Resort standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain an active and visible presence on the restaurant floor throughout all service periods.
- Direct and control the flow of service by monitoring reservations, seating pace, table turns, kitchen capacity, and ticket times.
- Continuously assess restaurant operations and make adjustments as necessary to ensure a smooth and efficient guest experience.
- Lead daily pre-shift meetings to communicate expectations, reservations, menu changes, special events, service priorities, and operational goals.
- Ensure all dining areas are properly prepared, maintained, and staffed to meet business demands.
- Participate in departmental, leadership, BEO, and operational meetings as required.
- Assume full accountability for the overall operation of Wiregrass.
- Ensure all guests receive exceptional service consistent with Pinehurst Resort standards.
- Actively engage with guests and address concerns, complaints, and recovery opportunities promptly and professionally.
- Monitor service standards throughout all meal periods and provide immediate coaching when standards are not met.
- Create memorable guest experiences that drive repeat business and positive guest feedback.
- Maintain accountability for the overall atmosphere, hospitality, and guest satisfaction of the restaurant.
- Serve as the operational leader during all service periods.
- Actively manage and control the dining room rather than becoming occupied in a single position or station.
- Monitor service timing, food delivery, beverage execution, guest satisfaction, and team performance throughout the shift.
- Conduct continuous floor walks to identify opportunities, address concerns, and support the team.
- Ensure all team members are properly positioned, supported, and executing their responsibilities.
- Make real-time decisions to resolve operational challenges and maintain service standards.
- Hold team members accountable for performance, appearance, side work, cleanliness, and adherence to standards.

- Participate in annual budget planning, forecasting, and financial reviews.
- Ensure compliance with all financial controls and company policies.
- Maintain responsibility for ordering all operational supplies required for the restaurant.
- Order and maintain appropriate inventory levels of liquor, beer, wine, mixers, bar supplies, paper products, chemicals, smallwares, and restaurant operating supplies.
- Ensure all orders are placed accurately and in a timely manner to support business demands.
- Review, reconcile, and manage purchase orders, invoices, deliveries, and vendor credits.
- Ensure all purchase orders are received, coded appropriately, reconciled, and closed in a timely manner.
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors, receiving, accounting, and purchasing departments.
- Maintain inventory controls, pars, and ordering systems to minimize waste and prevent shortages.
- Oversee and participate in period-end inventories and inventory accuracy processes.
- Monitor food and beverage costs and implement corrective action when necessary.
- Interview, hire, onboard, and train employees in accordance with Pinehurst Resort standards.
- Create and maintain structured training plans and development programs for all positions.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Identify high-potential employees and actively develop future leaders within the operation.
- Mentor captains, supervisors, bartenders, servers, and support staff through structured development and progressive responsibilities.
- Partner with the Director of Outlets to establish succession plans for key positions.
- Create opportunities for employee growth, promotion, and advancement.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous learning.
- Be responsible for the overall strength of the leadership bench within Wiregrass and contribute to the development of future Food & Beverage leaders for Pinehurst Resort.

- Complete operational reports, maintenance requests, training documentation, inventory reports, and other required administrative tasks.
