The Salon Manager builds team expertise in evolving stylist techniques, suggestive selling, and clienteling strategies, while leading services and experiences that create memorable salon visits and build lasting client loyalty and satisfaction. Committed to professional growth, the Salon Manager actively pursues ongoing education to refine skills and stay current on industry techniques, trends, products, and services, with access to both in-house
learning and external trainings with industry leaders. This is an exempt position, with quarterly bonus eligibility.
What you will do
• Demonstrate a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative in achieving salon objectives and driving the accomplishment of personal and salon key metrics.
• Leverage industry knowledge, company tools, cost analysis, and business reporting to develop salon action plans. Lead cross-channel collaboration by sharing successes and identifying opportunities that drive improvement and execution strategies supporting salon, store, and company objectives.
• Manage and strategically leverage social media, hiring platforms, and recruitment tools to attract, interview, and develop associates, ensuring a strong pipeline of talent. Build a proactive recruitment strategy by identifying candidates through market analysis and active networking within the local salon community and cosmetology schools. Lead off-site presentations and attend industry meetings, classes, and shows to support team professional development, stay current on trends, and attract high-quality candidates.
• Model behaviors that drive exceptional customer experiences, initiate personalized client outreach, enhance retail product sales, and execute services that strengthen the brand and advance the salon business. Oversee structured onboarding and align schedules to traffic patterns, business needs, and events to maximize coverage, productivity, and service delivery.
• Foster a positive salon culture by building meaningful team connection, communicating effectively, and modeling behaviors that drive retention and engagement. Share team successes and celebrate associate achievements to strengthen performance and service excellence. Serve as a key point of contact for associate relations concerns and support conflict resolution.
• Set and communicate clear team priorities and expectations. Enhance individual and salon results through regularly reviewing associate performance, conducting meaningful coaching conversations, and leading by example while
continuously teaching and developing. Champion adoption and optimization of store systems and processes, ensuring salon embraces selling tools, social media, and digital devices to execute successful promotions, special events, and
customer outreach.
• Build comprehensive team knowledge and champion continuous training initiatives to ensure associate readiness in delivering service expectations, technical expertise, evolving trends, and operational excellence. Ensure associates are informed and confident in speaking to available services and retail product offerings as a trusted resource.
• Oversee operational efficiencies by managing supply ordering, replenishment, and usage to ensure the salon is consistently stocked to meet demand, enhance productivity, support profitability, and minimize loss. Consistently monitor budgets, expenses, and profits to ensure all financial targets are met.
• Maintain a clean, visually appealing, and well-replenished salon environment that is inviting and professional. Ensure hygiene practices, cleanliness, and presentation are consistently executed to reflect brand standards, align with company and vendor directives, and meet State Board and salon regulatory requirements.
• Ensure salon compliance with safety, licensing, and asset protection standards by adhering to State Board regulations, maintaining up-to-date cosmetology and business licenses, and upholding salon hygiene requirements, safety guidelines, and security protocols. Oversee inventory accuracy, shortage control, and risk reduction within designated area.

• Must bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
• Comfortable with and enjoy assisting customers with salon services.
