Staffing Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Effectively utilizes Full-time, Part-time, and Per Diem staff, understanding the associated impact on costs using agency staff.
- Creates, maintains, and manages staffing schedules for all departments.
- Ensures appropriate and prompt staffing for the facility.
- Minimizes avoidable over-time hours through advance scheduling.
- Notifies the Nursing Supervisor regarding all call-outs/lateness and assists with securing coverage.
- Balances the facility’s department staffing needs as well as the staff’s schedule preferences.
- Responds to all emergency situations and callouts to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Maintains and tracks all time-off requests and coordinates a schedule to meet the needs in an efficient manner.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years of nursing home staffing
- HS Diploma or equivalent
- Candidates must be available to work full time hours in the nursing home.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Responsible for completing tasks in a fast-paced environment
