Veterinary Receptionist Position
Our privately owned practice located in beautiful Maple Valley, WA is looking for a full-time Veterinary Receptionist. Our team works with a large variety of exotic animals as well as dogs and cats, and even some wildlife. We also are home to a few different species, they live in our lobby. You’ll find Poison Dart Frogs named after characters in the Hobbit, Praying Mantis, and even a Velociraptor.

We need a responsible, enthusiastic, self-motivated and reliable worker who is able to multitask and prioritize.
The Veterinary Receptionist works with other team members to keep clients informed and ensure clients are provided with quality service. We are looking for candidates that possess the following skills:
- Performing various office duties (Scheduling, answering phones, faxing, emailing, organizing, and updating patient charts)
- Cleaning of reception area and lobby.
- Multitask efficiently in a high stress and fast paced environment. Able to manage time to ensure all tasks or projects are completed.
- Easily adaptable and ambitious.
- Taking pride in always wanting to improve skills both professionally and personally.
- Offering new ideas to improve efficiency and workflow. Proactively finding solutions as problems arise.
- Professional in all aspects. This includes tone of voice, diction, and physical appearance.
- Able to de-escalate challenging situations and conversations.
- Attentive and detail oriented.
Must be willing to work with a variety of species – Fur, feathers and scales! Shift hours may vary depending on staffing needs.
Qualified candidates must have a valid driver’s license, current resume, cover letter, and be able to pass a drug test. Must have a good knowledge of cats and dogs. Exotic experience is optional, we are willing to train. Comfortable handling patients and able to lift up to 30lbs.
