Position Overview
The Pine School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Varsity Wrestling Coach to lead
the launch of our new varsity wrestling program. Building on the foundation established through
PINE’s wrestling club over the past two years, this is a unique opportunity for a motivated coach
to shape the program’s identity, culture, and traditions from the ground up. The ideal candidate
will bring strong wrestling knowledge, leadership, and a passion for program building while
developing student-athletes both on and off the mat. The Head Coach will help establish a
sustainable program across the varsity and middle school levels that reflects the values and
standards of The Pine School.
Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience coaching wrestling (school-based, collegiate, club, or related setting)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Strong communication and customer-service mindset
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
- Works well independently and as part of a greater team
- Professional, flexible, and solution-oriented
Physical Requirements
- The role requires working in both office environments and athletic venues, often in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to sit or stand at a desk while working on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and/or move equipment, boxes, or materials, usually ranging from 10 to 50 pounds.
- This position may require working evenings and weekends for athletic events
