Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma and relevant certifications and training
- Excellent Communication
- Customer-focus approach
- CDL license and experience preferred, however, we will train if needed
- Clean Driving Record
- Background check and ability to work with children
- Must be up to date on DOT and State rules and regulations
Job Goal
- Prioritize the physical safety and well-being of all passengers during loading, unloading, and transit
- Adhere strictly to established time schedules and assigned routes
- Obey all traffic laws, school district policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Maintain professional, positive relationships with students, parents, school staff
- Provide safe transportation for all passengers
- Provide outstanding customer service as a representative of the transportation department within Pine Island Schools
- Ensures the highest level of student safety through transportation training, maintenance and procedures
- Evening or weekend hours may be required on an irregular basis
- Other duties as assigned
- Hold CDL with air brakes and proper school bus endorsements
- Perform daily vehicle pre- and post- trip inspections to ensure safety and compliance
- Maintain accurate mileage records
- Ensure and maintain orderly behavior of passengers on the bus
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations
- Customer-centered focus with strong customer service skills.
- Dependable, reliable and able to work independently.

- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate in professional settings
- Must maintain strict confidentiality
- Monday through Friday per school calendar - Activity Bus may run on any day
Salary : $19 - $25
