Pine Hollow Club is seeking an energetic, service‑focused Assistant Golf Professional to join our golf operations team. What You'll Do
As an Assistant Golf Professional, you will play a key role in delivering a first‑class golf experience for our members and guests. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting daily golf operations, including opening/closing procedures
- Providing warm, professional member service and guidance on rules, policies, and etiquette
- Assisting with merchandising, inventory control, and pro shop presentation
- Coordinating golf tournaments, league play, and special events
- Conducting golf clinics, private lessons, and junior golf programs
- Managing USGA handicapping records and ensuring course markings are accurate
- Performing starter and marshal duties as needed
- Assisting with club repair, documentation, and member communication
- Supporting golf car management, on‑course operations, and overall pace of play
- Stepping into leadership responsibilities in the absence of senior golf professionals
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a professional who is:
- A PGA Member or PGA Apprentice actively pursuing PGA membership
- Knowledgeable about golf operations, merchandising, tournament setup, and club repair
- Confident in teaching abilities, including clinics, group lessons, and one‑on‑one instruction
- Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities with composure
- A strong communicator with a member‑first approach and professional demeanor
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
Qualifications
- Associate's degree, or one year of related golf industry experience
- Strong understanding of golf operations, tournament administration, and handicapping
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand/walk for extended periods, and work outdoors
- Ability to work 40–50 hours per week, including weekends and holidays
- Willingness to travel for tournaments and member trips (domestic & international)
