Job Overview
Flour & Stone is seeking a skilled, reliable, and enthusiastic Breakfast Cook to join our kitchen team. We're looking for someone who enjoys preparing fresh, high-quality breakfast and lunch dishes, takes pride in presentation, and works well in a collaborative kitchen environment.
Our menu features a mix of classic breakfast favorites and creative, thoughtfully prepared dishes using quality ingredients. We're looking for a cook who can work efficiently during busy breakfast and brunch service while maintaining consistency and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
- Execute egg dishes, breakfast proteins, griddle items, and other breakfast specialties with consistency and accuracy.
- Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy breakfast and brunch periods.
- Ensure dishes are properly prepared, attractively presented, and served in a timely manner.
- Complete daily prep work and maintain organized, well-stocked stations.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain smooth service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment.
- Assist with inventory management and minimizing food waste.
Qualifications & Skills
- Previous breakfast, brunch, or short-order cooking experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of breakfast cooking techniques, particularly egg preparation and timing.
- Ability to work efficiently and stay organized during high-volume service.
- Good knife skills and basic food preparation knowledge.
- Attention to detail, consistency, and food presentation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working early morning shifts.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new menu items and techniques.
