What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at Pine Grill?
Overview
We are now actively hiring for a Server position to join our team at Pine Grill Restaurant. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages (including alcoholic beverages), and ensuring guests have an exceptional and welcoming experience within a timely manner.
Duties
- Greet guests in a friendly manner, provide information on listed menu items as well as information about daily specials.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system.
- Deliver food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables as needed.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders both through the kitchen food buzzer system and verbal communication.
- Process payments accurately using POS systems.
Skills/Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, but not required.
- Those interested in applying must be at least 18 years of age to mix and handle alcoholic beverages. RAMP Certification will also be required upon hiring.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables efficiently.
- Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
