What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN- $50/hr. No Benefits PRN position at Pine Crest Health and Memory Care?
Rate of Pay: $50/hr.
No Medical, Dental, Vision, or paid Sick/Vacation time will be offered with this position
Schedule: At least 16 hours of weekend shifts per month (These shifts do not need to be on the same weekend).
Hours:
- AM: 6am to 2pm
- PM: 2pm to 10pm
- NOC: 10pm to 6am
Holiday: 2 holiday a years; employee will receive holiday pay in the amount of time and a half
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including IV infusions and injections.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health management and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Perform procedures such as suturing, catheterization, and phlebotomy as needed.
- Manage acute pain effectively through appropriate interventions.
- Participate in discharge planning and case management for patients transitioning from hospital to home or other care settings.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
Experience
Candidates should have a diverse range of experience in nursing, including but not limited to:
- Long-term care experience
- Familiarity with Point Click Care
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in hospice & palliative medicine
- Proficiency in performing physical examinations, vital sign assessments, and specimen collection/processing
