Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Junior High School Science Teacher to teach Biology, Physical Science, and Earth Science using the BJU Press curriculum. The ideal candidate will integrate a Christian perspective into every lesson while fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for science.
Responsibilities
- Teach 7th–9th grade science classes: Biology, Physical Science, and Earth Science.
- Prepare engaging, hands-on lessons following the BJU curriculum framework.
- Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment based on biblical principles.
- Evaluate student progress through assignments, labs, and assessments.
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration to support student learning and school goals.
- Participate in school events, chapel, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related science field (Master’s preferred).
- Teaching experience (Christian school experience a plus).
- Alignment with the school’s statement of faith and mission.
- Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
