Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Junior High School English Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will teach English Language Arts for grades 7–9 using the BJU Press curriculum, fostering strong reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and literature appreciation while integrating Christian values into daily instruction.
Responsibilities
- Teach English/Language Arts courses to 7th–9th grade students.
- Plan engaging lessons aligned with the BJU Press curriculum and school standards.
- Integrate biblical truth into all areas of teaching and classroom life.
- Develop students’ skills in grammar, composition, vocabulary, and literary analysis.
- Create a positive, respectful, and structured classroom environment.
- Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration.
- Participate in professional development, school events, and chapel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, English Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Teaching experience preferred; Christian school or ministry experience a plus.
- Demonstrated commitment to a personal walk with Jesus Christ.
- Strong classroom management and effective communication skills.
- Must agree with and support the school’s mission and statement of faith.

Pay: $36,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
