Position Overview:
We’re looking for an Account Director to lead key client relationships and oversee the successful delivery of programs. This role sits at the intersection of client partnership, creative strategy, and project management; balancing big-picture thinking with day-to-day execution.
The Account Director will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring programs deliver on objectives while supporting the agency’s growth and team development. This role is hands-on, strategic, and collaborative, helping us push boundaries while keeping work efficient and effective.
Our team is primarily remote, but face-to-face collaboration with both clients and teammates will be essential in this role.
Responsibilities:
Leadership
- Lead with confidence, professionalism, and a solutions-first mindset
- Mentor and guide Account Managers and Coordinators, modeling best-in-class client service
- Partner with cross-functional leads to align teams and ensure clarity on roles, responsibilities, and priorities
- Support change management by effectively implementing improvements that enhance operational efficiency.Support change management by introducing improvements with positivity and efficiency
- Represent the agency in client and internal forums, building trust through thoughtful communication
- Client Relationships & Strategy
- Act as the main client contact, building strong, collaborative partnerships
- Understand client objectives and KPIs, translating them into programs that drive brand impact
- Provide proactive recommendations and thought leadership to position clients and the agency for success
- Collaborate closely with our partner production agency to ensure seamless integration between creative strategy and execution
- Program & Project Oversight
- Lead projects from kickoff through delivery, ensuring they meet the client brief, quality standards, and deadlines
- Collaborate with creative and production leads to align resources, timelines, and deliverables
- Coordinate and document internal and client meetings - capturing agendas, notes, and next steps - while organizing feedback, briefs, assets, and decks to keep information clear, accessible, and actionable.
- Work hand-in-hand with our partner production agency to ensure flawless execution and integration across all program elements
- Track budgets and hours, flagging risks early and recommending solutions
- Manage client feedback, briefs, assets, and decks to keep projects organized and moving forward
Operations
- Leadership with shared services to identify and find solutions for opportunities to minimize business disruptions and streamline processes
- Support ins developing resourcing plans within the Business Unit; oversee multiple clients with a strategic lens which results in substantial pay-off
- Take responsibilityTakeIncrease financial acumen by taking responsibility for fiscal plans by client while being exposed to large amounts of financial details including EBITA, Margins, etc.
- Develop playbooksDevelopment of playbooks and best practices to implement in the field
- Be mindful of mitigation of risk and liability of the organization when working with clients as a whole
Creative Strategy
- Partner with Creative Directors to define and align on client goals and the path to achieve them
- Work with Art Directors and Graphic Designers to ensure creative priorities are clear and consistent across all deliverables
- Guide account team members in developing strong creative briefs and identifying the right resources for each project
- Agency Contribution
- Support business growth by identifying opportunities to expand existing client relationships
- Contribute to process improvements and best practices that strengthen the agency as we grow
- Support recaps and debriefs to capture learnings and improve processes
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 6–8 years of account management or client service experience, ideally within experiential or creative agencies
- Must have experience in successfully leading and managing teams of 1-2 people
- Proven success leading client relationships and managing complex programs
- Strong project management skills — prioritization, scheduling, documentation
- Clear, concise, and collaborative communicator (written and verbal)
- Experience managing budgets, resources, and cross-functional teams
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
- Proficient in GSuite and project management tools (Asana, Airtable, or similar)
- Balanced with confidence and being self-aware to approach audiences both informally and in formal presentations
