POSITION SUMMARY
The Account Supervisor serves as the strategic and day-to-day lead for our client, ensuring that Burrell delivers culturally grounded, insight-driven work that advances the client’s mission. This role acts as the bridge between the client, internal teams, IAT, and other external partners—translating goals into clear briefs, guiding creative and strategic thinking, and ensuring smooth execution across all workstreams. The Account Supervisor helps maintain strong partnership dynamics, keeps programs on track, and ensures all work meets brand expectations and agency standards.
Our Account Supervisor - Freelance role is an exciting 6 month opportunity scoped at 35 hours a week, starting on 1/20/2026. The budgeted compensation for this role is up to $40/hour. Our application review process is anticipated to end 1/16/2026.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Client Leadership & Relationship Management: Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for the client, building trust through responsiveness, clarity, and cultural fluency.
- Strategic & Creative Support: Help translate client objectives into actionable briefs; partner with Strategy and Creative to ensure work reflects cultural nuance, resonates with diverse audiences, and aligns with campaign strategy.
- Quality Control & Cultural Alignment: Review drafts for accuracy, brand alignment, and cultural relevance before internal and client reviews; coordinate with Creative, Strategy, Production, and external partners to ensure integrated, insight-driven work.
- Project & Workflow Management: Manage timelines, scopes, and deliverables across multiple workstreams; organize status updates, track tasks, and keep cross-functional teams aligned throughout the production process.
- Financial & Scope Support: Assist with monitoring budgets, hours, and project scopes; help prepare estimates, reconcile jobs, and support change order documentation as priorities shift.
- Presentation & Communication Management: Prepare agendas, recap discussions, organize presentation materials, and support the team in shaping clear, culturally aware narratives for internal and client meetings.
- Issue & Risk Mitigation: Identify roadblocks early, communicate impacts clearly, and implement solutions to maintain project momentum.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Champion a positive team culture by facilitating transparent communication, providing clear feedback, and ensuring all workstreams operate smoothly and cohesively.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5–7 years of integrated marketing or agency experience, preferably supporting consumer brands, retail, lifestyle, or footwear/apparel categories.
- Proven client leader with the ability to build trust, anticipate needs, and guide conversations with clarity and confidence.
- Strong strategic and creative instincts, with experience writing briefs, shaping campaign thinking, and evaluating culturally relevant work.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complexity into clear direction and actionable next steps.
- Highly organized project manager capable of juggling multiple brands, timelines, and deliverables simultaneously.
- Deep familiarity with the creative development and production process, from concepting to content creation, shoots, and rollout.
- Collaborative team leader who can motivate cross-functional partners and maintain positive momentum under fast-paced conditions. Experience working with an IAT is strongly preferred.
- Adaptable problem solver comfortable navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and rapid turnarounds typical of consumer brands and seasonal product cycles.
- Experience managing vendors, production partners, or external agencies is a strong plus.
