Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment using hand tools and specialized machinery.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide effective solutions to ensure minimal downtime.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and operational functions.
- Utilize an Ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to assess electrical components and systems.
- Conduct field service visits to client locations for equipment installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
- Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service delivery.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology related to computer hardware and networking.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of hand tools for mechanical repair tasks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues effectively.
- Experience in equipment repair, particularly in a field service capacity.
- Familiarity with reading schematics for various systems.
- Ability to maintain equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques.
- Understanding of low voltage systems and their applications in various environments.
- Experience with computer networking principles is a plus.
