The Pima County Recorders Office is seeking a Database Administrator II
to serve as the department\'s Database Engineer. This role involves
providing technical and analytical support for specific application
systems and databases, including designing, developing, constructing,
implementing, and maintaining these systems, processes, and methods.
This position is responsible for performing all database administrator
duties, which include general database administration, design, backup
and recovery, data security, data access, performance tuning, technical
consulting, troubleshooting, development of standards, production
support, capacity planning and evaluation of database technology. The
Database Administrator II is also responsible for organizing the data,
providing access to data, designing, and reviewing applications that use
the data, creating and implementing data-naming standards, and providing
training in data modeling and design. This classification is
distinguished from the Database Administrator I by its focus on system
design, process engineering, and complexity of assignments.
