Essential Responsibilities
- Assist in gathering data from various internal and external sources (e.g., databases, Excel spreadsheets, APIs).
- Clean, transform, and prepare data for analysis, ensuring data quality and integrity.
- Help maintain and update data repositories and databases to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Support the development and creation of reports.
- Help translate business requirements into technical specifications for reports and visualizations.
- Assist in automating routine reports and visualizations to ensure efficiency and consistency.
- Perform basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and outliers that could inform business decisions.
- Assist in ad-hoc data analysis projects, providing insights that support business initiatives.
- Conduct data validation and integrity checks to ensure reports and dashboards are accurate.
- Special projects as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Two or more years of experience in a Business Analyst role.
- Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Superior presentation and negotiation skills.
- Strong management and organizational skills
- Adaptable and capable of working in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Required to have/carry a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card when on maritime facilities and vessels. Otherwise, an escort with a valid TWIC card is required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analysis, Business Administration, Finance or related field
- Must be able to occasionally lift as much as ten (10) lbs.
- May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time
