Pilot Rock Elementary School is seeking an outstanding Fifth Grade Teacher to join our dedicated team beginning August 2026. Education / Licensure:
- Valid Oregon Teaching License with the appropriate endorsement (or ability to obtain)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution

- Ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and staff from diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues

Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Cultivate and model a respectful, inclusive learning environment
- Develop and maintain a classroom conducive to effective learning
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instruction aligned with district, state, and national standards
- Adapt lessons to meet individual student needs, including those with IEPs and 504 Plans
- Use a variety of instructional methods and materials to engage all learners
- Communicate academic goals, progress, and expectations clearly to students and parents
- Assess student learning regularly and maintain accurate records in the district’s gradebook system
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and committees
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum and select instructional materials
- Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information
- Supervise students in various settings and ensure a safe learning environment
- Prepare substitute teacher lesson plans and maintain up-to-date classroom materials
- Participate in budgeting, inventory, and purchasing for classroom needs
- Handle routine student discipline and refer serious issues to administration
- Serve as a positive role model for students in conduct, communication, and appearance
- Perform other duties as assigned to support school and district goals

Salary : $47,813 - $85,520
