The Opportunity

Pillar4 Media is seeking a WordPress Developer to join its fast-growing team. As a member of the Engineering team, you'll work closely with senior leadership and other team members to develop and maintain Pillar4's data architecture.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Engineering Lead - Web Development, the WordPress Developer will:

• Collaborate with designers and developers to translate UI/UX design wireframes into responsive web pages.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.
• Implement front-end frameworks and libraries to enhance user experience and functionality.
• Ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility of web pages.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Perform debugging and troubleshooting for front-end issues.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or one to three years of work experience in front end / web development
• Experience with front-end frameworks (e.g., React)
• Experience with WordPress: Custom plugin development, Custom theme development, Understanding WP hierarchy and ecosystem.
• Strong, working knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git, is a plus.
• Experience with AWS is a plus!
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate ideas clearly.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
