Job Overview:
We are seeking a proactive, compassionate and relationship-driven Outreach Specialist to support patient recruitment for healthcare market research studies by building partnerships with organizations, patients, and support groups. In this role, you will represent research studies to external partners and organizations across various platforms to engage them in participation in surveys, interviews, focus groups, and other formats. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is people-oriented, organized, and passionate about improving patient experiences through research.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and engage individuals, patient advocacy groups, nonprofit organizations, healthcare networks, and community leaders to support study recruitment.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with our partners to promote study participation opportunities.
- Educate partners on the purpose and benefits of market research studies, ensuring messaging aligns with patient-first values.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop outreach materials and messaging that resonate with organizations and their communities.
- Coordinate and prioritize study announcements, email campaigns, and other communications through partner networks in a time-sensitive environment.
- Track outreach activity and responses in our system, maintaining accurate records and timelines.
- Act as a liaison between the research team and external partners, responding quickly and decisively to all questions, concerns, and logistics.
- Monitor recruitment progress and drive outreach strategies forward with urgency to optimize engagement and results.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in cold calling, inside sales, or business development.
- 1–3 years of experience in outreach, partnerships, patient engagement, community relations, or similar roles (experience in healthcare or market research strongly preferred).
- A hunter mentality – self-motivated, persistent and energized by the chase.
- Familiarity with patient advocacy networks, online health communities, and relevant social platforms (Facebook Groups, Reddit, Instagram, etc.).
- Understands urgency and ability to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate sensitive health-related topics clearly and empathetically.
- Highly organized with attention to detail, and able to manage multiple outreach efforts simultaneously.
- Comfortable working independently as well as cross-functionally with internal teams.
- Familiarity with Salesforce, spreadsheets, and digital communication platforms.
