Project Manager / Estimator — Concrete, Masonry & Excavation
Location: Minneapolis, MN (strong preference for local industry knowledge)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Estimator with a proven background in commercial concrete, masonry, and light excavation. This individual must be capable of owning projects from initial estimation through project closeout—operating independently while setting the standard for less-experienced PMs on the team.

Responsibilities
Project Management
- Lead commercial concrete and masonry projects from start to finish, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget performance.
- Manage project budgets ranging from $6–$8M annually
- Conduct site visits, coordinate field teams, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers.
- Maintain detailed project logs, RFIs, change orders, submittals, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and building codes.
- Communicate project status clearly to leadership, clients, and field teams.
Estimating
- Prepare accurate and competitive bids for concrete, masonry, and light excavation scopes.
- Perform detailed takeoffs using tools such as PlanSwift.
- Build estimates based on local market knowledge of labor, materials, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Support business development by leveraging Minneapolis market relationships.
- Manage a full bid log and turn around estimates efficiently—especially during high-volume periods.

- Multifamily/apartment projects
- Light excavation (limited portion of the work)
- Quick-serve restaurant (QSR) / fast-food remodels
Required Experience & Skills
- 5–10 years of combined Project Management & Estimating experience.
- Strong background in commercial concrete and masonry.
- Ability to independently manage full project lifecycle with minimal oversight.
- Proficiency with ProCore, ProContractor, and PlanSwift (or similar tools) is a bonus.
- Proven track record of maintaining profitability and productivity across multiple projects.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple active bids and jobs.
- Local Minneapolis market experience highly preferred (vendors, subs, GCs, competitors).
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: ~$120,000
- Bonus: Personal and company performance-driven; no cap for high performers.
- Car Allowance: $150/week
