We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Concrete Shop Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and dismantling of precast forms and rebar installation according specifications and schematics.l
- Operate power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently on site.
- Support concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, and surface treatment to ensure high-quality results.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks involving materials such as rebar, form panels, and concrete components while adhering to safety regulations.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and construction plans to assist with project execution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with construction workplace safety regulations.
- Support other trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, or plastering as needed on renovation or restoration projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction projects with knowledge of concrete work and related trades such as rebar installation, formwork construction, or concrete finishing.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, and technical drawings used in construction environments.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to operating concrete mixers, pumps, and heavy equipment safely.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately for various construction tasks.
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations is essential to ensure a safe working environment.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods; comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Prior experience in masonry, framing carpentry (including metal stud framing), tile laying or flooring installation is a plus but not required.
