As a Pilates Addiction Educator, you are the heartbeat of the studio. You will lead dynamic, athletic, reformer-based group classes that combine the precision of Pilates with the intensity of strength and conditioning. You will guide members of all fitness levels safely through challenging, music-driven flows, ensuring impeccable form, high energy, and a welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities
Class Delivery & Instruction
Lead High-Energy Classes: Deliver athletic, high-intensity reformer classes that align with the Pilates Addiction brand and format.
Cue with Precision: Provide clear, concise, and proactive verbal and visual cues for transitions, spring loads, and body alignment.
Prioritize Safety & Form: Continuously monitor the room to correct form, offer modifications for injuries, and provide progressions to challenge advanced clients.
Curate the Vibe: Build custom, high-energy playlists that match the tempo and intensity of your routines to keep clients motivated.
Client Engagement & Hospitality
Build Community: Greet clients warmly by name, welcome newcomers, and foster an inclusive, empowering studio culture.
Provide Pre- & Post-Class Support: Arrive early to assist new clients with machine setup, and stay after class to answer questions, build relationships, and encourage re-booking.
Promote the Brand: Actively participate in studio themes, challenges, and community events to drive client retention.
Studio Operations & Safety
Maintain Equipment: Perform quick pre- and post-class checks of reformers (straps, springs, carriages) to ensure everything is in perfect working order.
Uphold Cleanliness: Ensure the studio room is pristine, organized, and ready for the next class.
Reliability: Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class start time and manage class schedules punctually.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: No previous Pilates teaching experience? No problem! While a Pilates or Reformer certification is a plus, we are fully prepared to train the right candidate.
Related Background: We highly encourage applicants with a strong background in dance, cheer, personal training, gymnastics, or group fitness instruction who have a passion for movement and a desire to learn.
High Energy & Presence: Strong public speaking skills with the ability to command a room, project your voice over music, and exude infectious enthusiasm.
Coachability: A strong desire to learn the Pilates Addiction format, receive feedback, and continuously develop your teaching skills.
Anatomy Knowledge: A basic understanding of anatomy or fitness mechanics is preferred.
Availability: Flexibility to teach a mix of early mornings, evenings, and/or weekend shifts.
