What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Framer position at Pilarson Carpentry Inc?
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced framer to join our framing crew to start ASAP.
We are rough framers that specialize in building custom houses, signature decks, and the occasional remodel. We require you provide your own RELIABLE transportation as we will be building in various locations across greater NWI area (Lake / Porter County). All safety equipment and tools are provided other than your framing pouch and tools within it.
Responsibilities
- Safely use and operate power and pneumatic tools such as saws, drills, and nail guns.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine project specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Utilizing maths and calculations for symmetry and structural integrity.
- Building and completing structures such as custom houses, wooden and composite decks, intricate roofs, and more.
- Manual labor transporting lumber and tools.
- Operate and maneuver at heights equal to or greater than 25ft, whether it be on a ladder or on a roof.
- Be punctual and professional.
- We recommend you to be physically fit. You will be on your feet and moving nonstop and lifting upwards of 100lbs.
Experience
Lead Framer level preferred. Have the ability to read prints and operate on your own.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team while demonstrating excellent communication skills. If you are passionate about construction and have the necessary skills to excel as a Framer, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
