Project Manager – ERP Implementation (Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations)

We are seeking an experienced ERP Project Manager to lead a high‑visibility Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) implementation. This transformational program will modernize financials, project accounting, procurement, and supply chain operations for a 1,600‑person commercial HVAC services and projects business.
As the ERP Project Manager, you will serve as the internal counterpart to our implementation partner, driving execution, accountability, and alignment across teams. You’ll manage the internal project plan, coordinate SMEs and BPOs, and co‑present updates to the Steering Committee. This role requires strong leadership, ERP expertise, and the ability to keep complex programs moving forward.
What You’ll Do
- Lead day‑to‑day execution of the D365 F&O implementation.
- Manage project plans, working sessions, and partner deliverables.
- Hold external implementation partners accountable to scope, schedule, and quality.
- Collaborate with Finance, Project Accounting, Payroll, Supply Chain, and Operations teams.
- Oversee ERP phases including JPD sessions, CRPs, data migration, UAT, and cutover.
- Provide clear communication across executives, SMEs, and technical teams.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of project management experience, including at least one full‑cycle ERP implementation (customer‑side).
- Direct experience with Dynamics 365 F&O Dynamics AX, or comparable tier‑one ERP (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Proven success managing external implementation partners.
- Strong knowledge of financial processes (GL, AR, AP, procurement, project accounting, fixed assets, month‑end close).
- ERP data migration experience (cleanup, mapping, validation, cutover).
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent credential.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing D365 F&O with a major partner.
- Industry background in HVAC, construction, or field‑service heavy environments.
- Experience migrating off Dynamics GP/Wennsoft.
- Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, or field service integrations.
- Understanding of integration concepts (APIs, middleware, master data governance).
- Comfort using AI tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) for planning and reporting.
Salary : $140,000 - $180,000
