We’re seeking an accomplished Vice President of Accounting & Corporate Controller to lead our accounting operations across multiple entities and construction projects. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for financial integrity, operational excellence, and strategic collaboration across the business.
The Opportunity
The Vice President / Corporate Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting, financial reporting, and treasury operations for Pike Construction Services. You’ll be a key partner to the CFO and senior leadership — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and actionable insight that drives business decisions.
What You’ll Do
Corporate Accounting & Reporting
Lead general ledger management, consolidations, and month-/quarter-/year-end closes across multiple entities.
Prepare and review GAAP-compliant consolidated financial statements.
Maintain strong internal controls and ensure audit readiness.
Manage joint venture and subsidiary accounting, overhead budgeting, and annual audits.
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and industry-specific financial regulations.
Project & Job Cost Accounting
Oversee project accounting functions including job cost tracking, billing, and revenue recognition.
Partner with project managers and operations to analyze budgets, forecasts, and performance.
Standardize project accounting practices across divisions.
Manage WIP reporting and ensure accuracy in percentage-of-completion accounting.
Treasury & Cash Management
Lead treasury operations: cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, and bank relationships.
Oversee corporate credit, fuel card, and sales tax programs.
Support CFO with capital planning, credit facilities, and investment strategies.
Systems, Controls & Process Improvement
Champion ERP optimization (e.g., CMiC) and digital process improvement.
Strengthen financial controls, segregation of duties, and reporting transparency.
Support integration for new subsidiaries and acquisitions.
Leadership & Team Development
Mentor and develop a high-performing accounting team.
Promote collaboration and accountability across Finance, Operations, and Shared Services.
Foster a culture of accuracy, integrity, and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s or MBA preferred.
CPA required (active license preferred).
10 years of progressive accounting experience, with 5 years in a senior leadership or controller role.
Proven expertise in construction accounting, GAAP compliance, WIP accounting, and multi-entity structures.
ERP system experience (e.g., CMiC, Sage 300 CRE, Viewpoint, or similar).
Exceptional leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

The salary for this position is $165,000 - $215,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
