The Laboratory Assistant performs specimen procurement, accessioning, processing and testing as assigned under the supervision of a licensed Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS). Provides phlebotomy (venipuncture and skin puncture) to inpatients and outpatients.

Required Skills
- Phlebotomy or skin puncture techniques on patients ranging from infancy through adult
- Written and verbal communication
- Basic organizational skills
- Basic computer skills
Required Experience
- Experience with operating some laboratory equipment and setting up cultures preferred
- Must have a current phlebotomy certification
- Experience with computer data entry preferred
- Valid BLS CPR certification from the American Heart Association is required
