What are the responsibilities and job description for the G.I. Technician, GI Services, Full time, 9am-5:30pm position at PIH Health Whittier Hospital?
The G.I. Technician is responsible for preparing supplies and equipment for G.I. procedures, and assisting the physician during the G.I. procedures. This position works as a team member to contribute to the overall efficiency of the G.I. Services department.

Required Experience
Required:
- Current BCLS card
- Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology
- Knowledge of G.I. practices and medical terminology
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and precautions
- Knowledge of G.I. scopes, instruments, supplies, equipment and their use
Preferred:
- High school graduate or GED
- Completion of Operating Room Technician program with certification or at least 2 years of G.I. experience
