What are the responsibilities and job description for the CT Technologist, Full Time, 10 Hour, Night Shift position at PIH Health Whittier Hospital?
Performs computed tomography exams and procedures with maximal image quality, patient safety and comfort while maintaining the lowest possible radiation exposure. Exams and procedures include all parts of the vasculature structures and organ systems.

Required Skills
- Technical skills in computed tomography
- Knowledge of all vasculature and organ systems
- Knowledge of all CT guided invasive procedures
- Skilled in the use of contrast agents
- Basic patient care and assessment techniques
- Knowledgeable in radiation physics, radiation biology, radiation protection and medical terminology.
- High degree of accuracy in positioning and radiation exposure techniques
Required Experience
Required:
- State of California CRT
- ARRT certification in CT
- Venipuncture certification and/or documentation of training
- CPR/BLS
- Clinical training – Three (3) years’ experience in diagnostic radiography in an acute care facility
- One (1) year in a CT setting of an acute care facility
Preferred:
- Three (3) years’ experience scanning in CT in an acute care facility
- Fluoroscopy certification
