Job Summary
The ProAVL Technician, ProAVL Services, assists in the installation of professional audio, video, and lighting systems.
Essential Functions

- Follow instructions from the Team Lead during the installation of ProAVL systems, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Follow installation industry standards set by AVIXA.
- Train and mentor new installers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing advice and guidance to clients and team members.
- Stay current with the latest ProAVL technologies, industry trends, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

Competencies
- InfoComm CTS is required within one year of employment.
- Intermediate-level competency with general computer and Microsoft systems and applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures.
- Speaks clearly and persuasively in all situations and at all levels; listens and seeks clarification.
- Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Able to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no direct reports.
Required Education and Experience
The following requirements are job-related and consistent with business necessity.
- One or more years of experience in a technical installation support role with strong knowledge of AVL installation standards and systems.
- Class C (passenger vehicle) driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- InfoComm CTS is required within one year of employment.
Preferred Education and Experience
The following requirements are job-related and consistent with business necessity.
- Industry certifications, such as InfoComm CTS, CTS-D, or CTS-I.
- Experience with networked AV solutions and related protocols, e.g., Dante, AVB, etc.
- Familiarity with control system programming, e.g., Crestron, Extron, AMX, etc.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
Upon offer of employment, the selected candidate must pass a pre-employment drug test and Federal Criminal History, Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record, and Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Certification background checks at Pierson’s expense.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is an hourly overtime-eligible position. The work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, sometimes through Friday, with hours based on project assignments. Some overtime is possible with management approval.
Travel
Greater than 75%. Travel is primarily throughout the U.S. East Coast. Out-of-the-area and overnight travel is required. Travel in a personal vehicle will be reimbursed at the IRS mileage rate.
Reports To
This position reports to the ProAVL Team Lead.
Physical Work Type
Very heavy work. Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Walking five to ten miles per day.
