What are the responsibilities and job description for the Room Attendant position at Pier House Resort & Spa?
Position Summary: Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the guest rooms, public areas and back of the house areas (linen rooms and laundry areas), according to company procedures and at a level that meets or exceeds company standards.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Stock carts to ensure that enough equipment and amenities are available to properly clean each room.
2. Observe knocking procedures announcing “housekeeping” prior to entering a guest room.
3. Thoroughly clean the guest rooms assigned at approximately 24 minutes per room. Ensure the amenities are stocked for each cleaned room. Complete entire housekeeping checklist.
4. Report clean rooms to supervisor for inspection.
5. Report any damages or hazards that are present in guest rooms to supervisor (i.e., burned out light bulbs, broken furniture, broken lights, etc.). Immediately report any broken door locks to management.
6. Restock cart for next day.
7. Secure guest room doors upon exiting the room.
8. Keep the corridors and service areas neat at all times.
9. Turn in all lost and found items and all guest room and section keys.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour
