Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as TOAST, ensuring timely delivery.
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, spirits, wine, and non-alcoholic options, demonstrating cocktail experience and spirits knowledge.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales revenue through effective suggestive selling techniques.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, process sales through POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms, and manage cash handling responsibilities responsibly.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations; assist with food preparation and bussing as needed.
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions about menu items, offering wine recommendations, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is essential; fine dining experience is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with Toast POS system is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine, and basic math for processing transactions accurately.
- Background in culinary arts or food industry roles that involve food handling, food safety practices, and food preparation.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Customer service orientation with proven ability to build guest relations and ensure positive dining experiences.
- Experience with serving in high-volume settings or hospitality environments that require quick thinking and adaptability.
