Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role involves standing, walking, lifting (with assistance as needed), and working in a clinical environment with exposure to animals, medical equipment, and typical hospital conditions.
Anticipated Schedule
This is a full-time position - 40-hours a week.
Schedule may include a rotating weekend shift and holidays!
Compensation
$32.00-$35.00 an hour depending on experience.

What You’ll Do
As Specialty Surgical Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the surgical department, ensuring efficient workflow, strong team performance, and high-quality patient care.
You Will
Lead and Develop the Team:
- Provide daily supervision, coaching, and support to surgical staff
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members
- Conduct 30/60/90-day reviews and support ongoing performance development
- Partner with leadership on performance management, feedback, and team growth
- Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative team culture
- Coordinate daily case flow and ensure surgical table times are met
- Assign staff to cases and manage shift coverage, including call-outs
- Monitor staffing levels, scheduling, and overtime
- Ensure all treatments, charges, and documentation are completed accurately and on time
- Support discharges and client communication as needed
- Oversee daily operations to ensure smooth, efficient service flow
- Collaborate with surgeons, inventory, and sterile processing teams
- Maintain surgical equipment and coordinate repairs or replacements
- Identify and implement workflow improvements
- 3–5 years of veterinary experience, with prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong surgical workflow knowledge and technical skillset
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
