Job Opportunity: Transportation Driver & Part-Time Behavioral Technician (BT)
Do you want to make a meaningful impact in your community? We are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as both a Transportation Driver and Part-Time Behavioral Technician (BT). This dual-role position involves transporting clients to and from our Lexington clinic and may include supporting clients on the clinic floor as needed.
We are currently hiring for both morning and evening shifts. Ideal candidates are team players, flexible, and willing to assist in both roles as needed.
We are looking for someone with:
- Excellent driving and customer service skills
- Compassion, patience, and a client-centered mindset
- A strong sense of teamwork and reliability
- Previous professional driving experience (preferred)
- A willingness to receive training and support clients as a BT
Position Details:
- Transportation Role: A company vehicle will be provided for transportation services. Each route will include a staff member on board to accompany and support clients.
- Part-Time BT Role: Candidates may be asked to assist clients in the clinic setting, implementing treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Training for this role will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Driver Duties
- Represent Piece by Piece Autism Therapy in a professional and positive manner
- Safely operate vehicles on designated routes and schedules
- Respond appropriately to client emergencies or disruptions (with onboard technician support)
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and fuel levels (minimum half a tank)
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections
- Adjust heating, lighting, and ventilation for client comfort
- Follow traffic laws and clinic-approved time schedules
- Maintain familiarity with service areas (Sanilac & St. Clair Counties)
- Drive defensively and make sound decisions during emergencies or poor driving conditions
- Foster positive relationships with clients, supervisors, and team members
Part-Time BT Duties
- Support clients on the clinic floor by implementing treatment plans
- Engage clients in skill-building activities, social development, and behavior interventions
- Accurately record data on client behavior and progress
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure consistent, effective services
- Maintain a supportive and respectful environment
- Attend required training to develop skills as a Behavioral Technician
Requirements
- Valid chauffeur’s license
- Minimum of six months of professional driving experience
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Willingness to complete BT training and assist in the clinic as needed
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
