We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver to safely transport clients to and from medical appointments. The ideal candidate is punctual, professional, and committed to providing respectful and reliable service to passengers who may require additional care and patience.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport clients to medical appointments, dialysis centers, physical therapy, hospitals, and pharmacies
- Assist passengers entering and exiting the vehicle as needed
- Maintain a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude at all times
- Follow assigned schedules and routes accurately
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any issues
- Keep vehicle clean and presentable
- Accurately document trips, mileage, and client pickups/drop-offs
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and HIPAA guidelines
Requirements
- Valid Michigan driver’s license (minimum 2 years driving experience preferred)
- Clean driving record (no major violations)
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Reliable and punctual with strong time-management skills
- Comfortable assisting elderly and mobility-challenged passengers
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs if needed
- Smartphone proficiency for trip tracking and communication
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)
- Previous NEMT, medical transport, rideshare, or delivery experience
- CPR / First Aid certification
- Experience working with elderly or disabled individuals
