Overview
Ideal candidate will have marketing experience alongside knowledge of pickleball.
As General Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our facility. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee daily club operations, ensuring seamless coordination of staffing, events, and facility use.
- Customer Service: Foster a welcoming, member-focused environment. Resolve guest concerns and ensure exceptional experiences.
- Financial Management: Create and manage operating budgets, monitor financial performance, and drive cost-effective revenue growth.
- Marketing and Promotion: Partner with our marketing team to implement strategies including membership drives, events, and online engagement.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, and manage managerial staff including and work alongside them to ensure they are able to fulfill their roles and drive the business.
- Event Planning: Assist in the coordination and execution of pickleball tournaments, leagues, clinics, and member events.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain high standards for club cleanliness, safety, and equipment functionality.
- Community Engagement: Build relationships with local businesses, schools, and pickleball enthusiasts to promote our club and the sport.
Compensation and Benefits
- Benefits: Selection of health insurance options (owner will pay 50-75% depending on your selection), free pickleball kingdom membership, bonus structure outlined below
- Hours: Full-time (40 hours ), including evenings and weekends based on programming
needs
- Lead daily restaurant operations, including food preparation, service delivery, and staff supervision to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction to optimize profitability.
- Oversee POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate sales processing and reporting.
- Implement and uphold food safety standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Train, develop, and motivate staff through effective onboarding, ongoing training programs, and performance evaluations.
- Handle cash management duties including cash handling procedures, shift reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Supervise kitchen operations, including food production, quality control, and catering or banquet services when applicable.
- Manage staffing schedules, interview potential team members, and oversee shift management to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
- Foster a welcoming environment that emphasizes excellent customer service and hospitality at all times.
- Collaborate with vendors for procurement needs and maintain positive supplier relationships to support seamless operations.
Experience
- Proven management experience within the food industry, ideally in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary practices, and food safety standards.
- Hands-on experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise teams effectively with strong leadership skills in hospitality management.
- Background in inventory control, budgeting, cost management, and food production processes.
- Experience in training & development programs for staff at various levels of restaurant operations.
- Familiarity with managing restaurant operations that include bar services or catering is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills for interviewing candidates and providing constructive feedback to foster team growth.
