Job Requirements
1. High School Diploma or equivalent required; minimum three years secretarial experience, preferably in a health care environment.
2. Type 45-50 wpm with accuracy.
3. Must be PC literate and skilled in the use of Word and Excel.
4. Possess strong organizational, public relations and communication skills.
5. Able to prioritize tasks.
6. Adhere to Organizational, federal/state regulations and guidelines including Resident Rights.
7. Maintain a neat, well-groomed appearance suitable to a high visibility, professional position.
8. Sustain neat and orderly office procedures and environment.
9. Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
10. Must maintain level of confidentiality pertaining to resident information and administrative information.
Job Functions
-Answer and transfer incoming telephone calls
-Greet all customers and visitors at the front desk
-Filing and sorting of mail and distribution to appropriate departments
-Be able to send email communications to appropriate persons regarding pertinent information such as security, Residents updates etc
-Secure supplies and account for any missing items
-Monitor the apartment alarm panel and in-house cameras, notify appropriate personnel if situation warrants
-Silence the annunciator panel when instructed
-Complete various clerical duties as assigned by supervisory staff on a priority basis
-Other duties as assigned
Work Setting
The Quality Assurance Assistant works inside the facility in well lighted, ventilated areas. There is extensive contact with residents, staff and vendors.

Physical Requirements
1. Able to sit for prolonged periods of time; walk and stand periodically
2. Able to frequently twist & reach at shoulder height; occasionally bend and reach above and below shoulder height
3. Able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds
4. Able to push and pull up to 25 pounds
5. Able to effectively communicate with residents, visitors, and staff, verbally and in writing
Mental Requirements
1. Able to handle multiple, changing priorities
2. Able to deal with pressure deadlines
3. Able to adapt to frequent interruptions and changing situations
4. Able to use sound judgement
Hours of Work
Part-time, Hourly, Weekends with some days available during the week as needed and Holidays

Employee Responsibility in an Emergency
Able to respond to fire system and follow emergency procedures. All employees need to respond to emergency situations immediately and capably for the safety of the residents and staff.
