Join our Pickering House Wolfeboro team as a Breakfast Server in our restored, historic barn and be the welcoming face that kickstarts our guests' mornings with exceptional service! In this role, you'll deliver a memorable dining experience by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service during the daily breakfast hours of 7:30am-10:30am and Brunch on Sundays 9am-1pm. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a warm, inviting atmosphere where guests feel valued and cared for from the moment they arrive. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and promptly, creating a positive first impression for breakfast service
- Take accurate orders using SQUARE POS system, ensuring clarity and efficiency
- Serve food and beverages with professionalism, maintaining high standards of food handling and sanitation
- Assist with food preparation and bussing duties to support smooth restaurant operations
- Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, adhering to food safety regulations
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and basic math calculations
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in breakfast or fine dining settings
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in the food industry
- Experience with upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Previous host/hostess or serving experience is highly desirable
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Kitchen experience or culinary background is a plus for supporting food prep when needed
