Pay Band: F
Days/Hours: 8 hours per day/230 days per year
Applicant must have either a GED, or High School Diploma, or Bronze WorkKeys, or WIN Readiness Assessment at Bronze level
Responsibilities:
- Work safely and efficiently on district properties with safety of students and staff as the priority.
- Plans, trims, and maintains grass, shrubbery and trees.
- Grades, constructs sidewalks, installs fences, etc.
- Sprays weed control chemicals and pesticides after appropriate training with attention given to safety of employees and students.
- Transports equipment and furnishings throughout the district and maintains proper inventory of supplies and equipment to accomplish jobs and tasks.
- Assists other trades in areas such as grounds equipment maintenance and installs plumbing and electrical lines as required.
- Handles all work order items requested by the crew leader.
- Remains available for emergency or unplanned events that may transpire during the course of a school year.
- Promotes good public relations through professional and ethical execution of job responsibilities.
- Participates in staff development programs.
- Performs other duties as directed.
