Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Engage with customers, taking orders, providing recommendations, and ensuring satisfaction with their drinks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Monitor inventory levels of supplies and ingredients, restocking as necessary to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including food safety practices.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently using POS systems while ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when applicable, especially during catering events.
- Stay informed about new drink trends and menu items to enhance customer experience.
Skills
- Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple orders in a busy environment.
- Proficient in math for accurate cash handling and drink measurements.
- Experience in catering services is a plus, enhancing event-based beverage offerings.
- Knowledge of brewing techniques for crafting specialty drinks or beers is beneficial.
- Familiarity with food safety standards to ensure compliance in beverage preparation.
- Experience with Toast POS systems for processing transactions effectively.
