What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brand Ambassador - In-Store Food Sampling (Part-Time) position at Picadeli?
Picadeli makes fresh, healthy, delicious food more accessible through self-serve salad bars inside grocery stores. We are hiring a reliable, positive Brand Ambassador who enjoys engaging with customers in a busy retail environment.
You will offer samples during peak lunch hours, help shoppers try the salad bar for the first time, and make the experience friendly and easy. You will typically work at one store for a week before rotating to another Pittsburgh-area location.
What you'll do
- Run in-store sampling at Picadeli salad bars in grocery stores
- Assemble and hand out food samples
- Start friendly conversations with shoppers and explain how the salad bar works
- Keep the sampling area clean and professional
- Submit simple reports and surveys using your smartphone
- Work independently while representing Picadeli professionally
Schedule
- Four-hour weekday lunch shifts
- Four to five days per week
- Approximately 16 to 20 hours per week

- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
- Experienced in sampling, retail, hospitality, or in-person sales, though prior experience is helpful rather than required
Requirements
- Able to drive to assigned Pittsburgh-area grocery stores and rotate locations approximately weekly
- Able to stand for four hours and lift up to 25 pounds
- Smartphone access for scheduling and reporting
Compensation and perks
- $25 per hour
- Part-time W-2 position
