NAES is seeking experienced Instrumentation, Controls & Electrical (IC&E) Technicians to support maintenance and troubleshooting activities at power plant in Texas. The IC&E Technicians will ensure safe, reliable operation of plant systems through the inspection, calibration, installation, and repair of instrumentation, controls, and electrical equipment. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of power plant systems, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Key Project Requirements
- 5 years of IC&E maintenance experience in a power generation or heavy industrial plant.
- Strong working knowledge of instrumentation calibration, loop testing, and control device troubleshooting.
- Experience working with or around DCS/PLC systems (Mark VI or Foxboro exposure is a plus, not required).
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems, MCCs, switchgear, relays, and distribution equipment up to 4,160V.

This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, a solid understanding of power plant systems, and strict adherence to safety procedures.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and control components including transmitters, switches, positioners, sensors, analyzers, and control valves.
- Perform calibration, loop checks, functional testing, and verification of field instrumentation and control circuits.
- Maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment including motors, generators, switchgear, MCCs, breakers, transformers, and protective relays (up to 4,160 volts).
- Perform PLC and DCS-related troubleshooting; assist with logic adjustments as directed by plant engineering.
- Test, diagnose, and repair issues in control loops, signal wiring, I/O racks, and field devices.
- Utilize Maximo or similar CMMS to document work orders, equipment history, calibration records, and part usage (training provided if needed).
- Maintain accurate logs, drawings, and equipment records.
- Support operations and maintenance teams during system startups, plant upsets, and outage activities.
- Follow all safety procedures including LOTO, NFPA 70E, confined space entry, and hot work protocols.
- Strong knowledge of power plant instrumentation, control systems, and electrical maintenance fundamentals.
- Ability to troubleshoot PLCs, relays, instrumentation loops, and industrial electrical systems.
- Working understanding of DCS platforms (Mark VI or Foxboro exposure preferred but not required).
- Ability to interpret and work from technical manuals, P&IDs, loop sheets, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a maintenance team.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 5 years of IC&E maintenance experience in power generation or heavy industrial plant
- Technical training or certification in instrumentation, controls, or electrical maintenance is preferred.
